Safety Use of Lifting Gears & Rigging Practices

Training Focus

Cranes are widely used for lifting operations in the construction industry in Hong Kong.  Statistics show that a lot of accidents arising from lifting operations can result in serious injury and plant damages. Poor selection and use of lifting gears and improper rigging are some of the contributory factors. Participants of this course will acquaint themselves with knowledge of the safe use of lifting gears and safe rigging practices to assist the duty holders in preventing accidents.

  4. Selection and safe use of lifting gears
  5. Safe rigging practices and precautions
  6. Recommended hand signals

 

Certificate of Attendance

A Certificate of Attainment will be awarded to those participants who have attended 100% of the lecture and participation in practical exercise.

 

 

Medium of Instruction

Cantonese is the primary medium of instruction and English terms are used where applicable.  Teaching materials and examination paper will be in Chinese.
